About Us

Mental Health America of the Triangle provides free services, education and support, and collaborates with other community organizations to address the mental health needs of individuals and their families throughout the Triangle.

Originally named The Mental Health Association in Orange County, our organization was started in 1966 by two individuals who wanted to bring together local families whose lives were disrupted by mental illness. In 2010, we affiliated with Mental Health America to expand our impact throughout the entire Triangle community.

Mental Health America of the Triangle is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization supported by private and corporate donations and grants as well as state and local funding.
